We had a great season kick-off reception for singers and board members this past weekend, thanks to our fabulous hostess Jo Brodzinski!
And now we're looking forward to an exciting season of making music together, starting with our first rehearsal tonight on Benjamin Britten's The Company of Heaven. Justin gave us a preview at the reception, and it's going to be an amazing piece. It has something for everyone: beautiful tenor and soprano solos performed by talented young professionals, dramatic readings by Tri-Cities theatrical heroes Ginny Quinley and Matt Leggett, genius musical composition (obviously)... and see if you can identify the familiar tune woven within the grand finale.
In addition to that, we'll be looking at some fun music to perform at Christ the King's Sausage Fest on September 19 - you won't want to miss it!
And this is just the beginning, because Christmas will be here before you know it...
